Terri Crooks (She/Her/Iskwew) is a First Nations treaty member of the Mistawasis Nêhiyawak (neh-HEE-oh-wuk) First Nations in Saskatchewan. She is a Sixty Scoop survivor and has been on a journey of reconnection and (un)learning of her Indigenous ancestry. Stories & storytelling are strong foundational pieces within Indigenous culture and as she progresses on her journey sharing her story, she is beginning to heal.
Terri has been with the Finning Canada Enterprise for 17 years for Finning Canada at their OEM rebuild facility as a Production Manager. Her hope as a front-line leader is that she can build connections with her team and create a safe inclusive space for everyone to bring their true whole self into the workspace. She sits as the Chair for Finning Canada’s Indigenous Employee Resource Group: Indigenous Together (INTO). Through this group she has been able to support other Indigenous employees to share their stories and voices and provide resources and learning opportunities for the organization.
Terri is a mother of 2 and enjoys spending time her with husband of 18 years and their children out in nature, camping, hiking or at the lake. Her favourite place to escape to is the mountains or in the pages of a good book by a fire.
