Raised and rooted in the embrace of a diverse family and community. As a third-generation Canadian with Caribbean heritage, Teisha uncovered her purpose as a people connector; threading the tapestry of human relationships with empathy and understanding. Balancing her roles as a committed wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. She is accustomed to navigating diverse personalities and perspectives and channeled that into a career of energizing people and culture. Fostering environments where individuals can thrive, teams can collaborate effectively, and the workplace becomes a canvas for personal and collective growth.
As the Manager, Talent & Inclusion at the Alberta Electric System Operator, Teisha has designed talent, inclusion strategies, programs, and frameworks to influence transformational change. She is the Chair of AESO’s Inclusion, Equity & Diversity Council and leads the delivery of advancing inclusion and equity strategies and initiatives to build, apply understanding and embrace change. She also serves as a Board Member with the Calgary Immigrant Women’s Association (CIWA) Human Resources Committee.
Teisha graduated from University of Lethbridge in 2006 with a Bachelor of Management in Human Resources and Labour Relations. She holds both a Certified Professional Human Resources (CPHR) designation with CPHR Alberta and a Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) designation from the Society of Human Resources Management.
In the spirit of reconciliation, Teisha acknowledges the traditional territory of Treaty 7, which Settlers have renamed to Calgary, Alberta, and the privilege to live, have residence and work on the traditional territories of the Tsuut’ina First Nation, the Blackfoot Confederacy, which is made up of the Kainai, Piikani, and Siksika Nations, the Stony Nakoda Nations and is also the homeland of the Métis Nation of Alberta, Region 3.
