Jay brings over 21 years of experience in learning and development, including 6 years in the Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging space. He identifies as a cisgender queer white man who also has an invisible disability. His passion is people and empowering them to be the best they can be. Jay focuses on creating an inclusive culture that embraces lifelong learning, relearning, and unlearning. He recognizes the harm of biases and their intergenerational impact on marginalized backgrounds and identities. He uses that knowledge as an advocate to ensure that the workplace is inclusive and that the practices, processes, and frameworks are equitable for all.
Jay believes that if you can create an environment where people feel a sense of belonging and psychological safety, you will unlock their potential and reap those rewards.
Jay also is currently on the Board of Directors for the Get Real Movement and the Prairies Ambassador for Pride at Work Canada.
